Products
Many of our products are grown using organic, pesticide-free, and regenerative practices, though not currently certified organic. Our dried spices and staples are naturally gluten-free, but not currently certified in a gluten-free facility.
Organic certifications in many of the regions we source from are either not yet widely established or do not exist at all. This is largely due to these ingredients being traditional and grown in natural ecosystems.
That said, now that Indeegenus is here, we are working with growers and local organizations to provide education, build capacity, and guide producers toward formal certification pathways that align with global organic standards. It’s a long-term process that comes at a cost for the growers, but one we believe will benefit both farmers and customers alike.
Keep spices in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Pantry staples should be stored in airtight containers. Fresh produce should be refrigerated or kept in a cool, dry place, depending on the item.
- Dried spices and blends: Best within 6–12 months for peak potency.
- Staples (e.g., fonio, beans, flours): Use within 6 - 9 months.
- Fresh produce: Best consumed within 5–7 days of delivery.
Shipping
We currently ship across the continental U.S. and select U.S. territories with plans to expand to more markets in the very near future.
We currently do not offer international shipping through our website. However, for bulk, wholesale, or distributor orders, please contact us directly. We are happy to explore international logistics for qualified partners.
Orders are processed within 3-5 business days and once dispatched typically arrive within 2–7 business days via USPS, UPS, or FedEx, depending on your location and shipping option.
Please note that weather delays, particularly during winter, may affect these delivery windows. We are not responsible for delays due to weather conditions or other natural causes beyond our control.
Yes. You'll receive an email with a tracking number as soon as your order ships.
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your location and order size. We offer free shipping on orders over $100.
Apologies. Although we do our absolute best to avoid mistakes, they can occasionally happen. Please send us a message with your order number and details about what item is missing or incorrect and our team help to resolve the issue.
Shipping carriers often mark packages as delivered prior to actual delivery in order to meet delivery quotas. If when tracking your package it shows as delivered, consider it a delivery window and keep an eye out for your package. It may be delivered soon.
Once your package has left our warehouse, the shipping carrier is responsible for the care of your package and delivery. We cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen packages once they have left our facility. To make a claim for a lost or stolen package, visit the shipping carrier’s website for instructions. If you have any other questions, send us a message and we’ll see what we can do.
Returns
As long as the order has not yet been processed and a shipping label has not been printed, you can request a cancellation by contacting our team. If the shipping label has already been printed, unfortunately we cannot cancel an order.
As a food business, we do not accept returns or offer exchanges for food related items. All sales on food items are final. We strongly recommend that customers review all the details of their order prior to placing it.
Please be advised that Indeegenus is not responsible for refunds or replacements of orders with incomplete or invalid addresses.
If for some reason you are not happy with your order of a non-food item, do send us an email within 15 days of it being delivered to arrange a return of the item(s) and we will work to refund the order. We can only accept returns of unopened unused items with labels intact.
We are unable to offer refunds for items that are returned to us in anything less than the original condition.
You are responsible for return shipping costs.
Note: For any refunds that are granted, we will only refund the cost of the item(s) within a shipment excluding any shipping costs.

Yes. We offer digital gift cards that you can purchase from our online store here. Gift cards come in varying amounts for you to choose from. Once purchased, the gift card will be emailed to you and then you can forward it to your recipient.

We are currently an online-only store. Occasionally, we do participate in pop-ups and events in select cities and updates on dates and locations is shared on our social media channels and newsletter.
